Our client, a well-known and respected Pharmaceutical company, is seeking to hire an experience a Corporate Counsel for its Pittsburgh legal group. Excellent Comp & Benefits (inclusing Relocation reimbursement)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare review, revise and negotiate legal documents to ensure the company's obligations are compatible with management's philosophy.
- Interpret existing contracts.
- Complete administrative functions on a daily basis including maintaining due dates and performing project intake functions.
- Respond to issues as they arise in diverse matters affecting day-to-day business operations by assisting, advising, investigating, researching and resolving legal matters.
- Protect company in all business relationships.
- Ensure company compliance with legal policies, state and federal laws, and regulations.
- Identify potential legal issues related to proposed transactions.
- Participate in structuring and negotiating transactions and set procedures to reduce risk.
- Advise business people and work with outside counsel, when necessary and approved.
Position qualifications include:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) and a Law Degree and six to eight years of experience. Four yearsof experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related life sciences industry is preferred. Related in-house experience (in Contracts) is also preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- Licensed to practice law in one or more United States jurisdictions.
- Must possess knowledge and be able to apply a wide range of legal principles, theories and concepts in the related field. Working knowledge of industry practices. General knowledge of related disciplines.
- Working knowledge of general contract principles, antitrust laws and pharmaceutical procurement, supply chain and distribution, as well as, sales and marketing practices in pharmaceuticals or life sciences fields.
- Experience in clinical practices and/or research and development is preferred.
- This role will typically work within a normal office environment.
- Periodic travel is required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
