The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work is accepting applications for full-time, non-tenure, stream faculty positions for a non-renewable 3- year appointment. Applicants will be considered at the rank of Lecturer. The positions are available on September 1, 2014. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The School of Social Work is a top ranked school offering a wide variety of multidisciplinary opportunities. The School offersBASW,MSW, and PhD programs, which includes joint programs in Law, Public Health, Public and International Affairs, and Theology. It hosts one of the nation's leading centers for training in the area of child welfare, and the Center on Race and Social Problems. The School provides scholarly opportunities and an intellectually stimulating and supportive environment. Position Description: The position includes teaching four classes per semester in the spring and fall, and one course during the summer. Additional responsibilities include advising, liaison work in the field, and committee assignments. The contract will expire at the end of a three-year term.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
