Senior Counsel II - Public Finance
The candidate will work closely with the Public Finance executive team as well as bankers at all levels. Will interface with risk, compliance, credit and operational functions, as well as other areas. Provide legal advice and support to internal company clients in all areas of Public Finance, including Public Finance Capital Markets, Municipal Sales and Trading, and Public Finance Banking. Ensure that projects and regulatory protocols and systems are implemented and executed appropriately. Provide legal advice and support directly to bankers on client engagement and relationship management, structuring and underwriting municipal offerings, institutional distribution issues, and credit/liquidity support or direct purchase issues. Provide regulatory advice on various matters applicable to the Public Finance business, including the Municipal Advisors Act, FINRA, SEC and MSRB rules and guidance, fiduciary duties, due diligence best practices, and related matters. Interact closely with the line of business executives, regulatory and other colleagues in the Legal Department and Compliance to serve the Public Finance business. Provide legal counsel and support, working effectively with lawyers supporting the commercial and corporate lending lines of business in markets across the company footprint, to bankers delivering bank products (credit, leases, treasury management, etc.) to non-profit and municipal customers. Select and oversee services of approved outside counsel. Identify, assess, manage and mitigate risk.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
