Senior Counsel - Merchant Services
The candidate will report to the Chief Counsel - Retail Payments. Will serve as the lead attorney providing legal counsel on an array of matters. Negotiate contracts with merchants, networks and core merchant services processor. Contracts include general merchant processing agreements, program guides, equipment leases, software licenses, government contracts. Review requests for proposals. Provide legal guidance on compliance with network operating regulations, contract terms, and other relevant documents as well as relevant regulations (IRS, OFAC, FCRA, Durbin, NACHA as well as Regulations E, B, and Z). Provide legal guidance on general business issues and identify potential differing interests between bank affiliates. Provide legal guidance on data security issues. Review marketing materials. Assist in responding to customer complaints, customer service issues and provide litigation support. Coordinate and collaborate with others in the Legal Department on legal and regulatory issues.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
