Job Summary
UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a Full-Time Supervisor, Nutrit & Food Svcs to help support the PUH00 -PUH_WPIC Patient Srvs Department for its location.
Train, supervise, and manage all employees to maintain quality, satisfaction, and food safety in the retail, patient service, vending, production, and catering operations.
Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision of personnel and their adherence to all department standards and policies.
Ensure all personnel are adequately trained and competent, and are appropriately disciplined in accordance with Human Resources policies.
Contribute to the relevant and timely communication/feedback and performance evaluations according to department deadlines.
Schedule personnel to meet operational needs for service and to meet volume/budgetary guidelines.
Monitor food quantity and quality to ensure adequate amounts of food products are available for meal service according to menu and special requests.
Supervise services according to department standards and completes quality control/quality assurance monitors to ensure compliance with regulatory, HACCP, and diet manual standards and procedures.
Maintain a sanitation program according to HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and inspection readiness consistently. Monitor all aspects of the department''s daily sanitation program on a daily basis, according to established schedules and procedures.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure that they are adequate to meet the needs of the operation. Monitor security of inventory and cash revenues.
Inspect and monitor employees'' adherence to established department dress code at all times on all shifts.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate''s degree in food service related field is preferred.
Previous quality food production and service supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications
Act 34 Criminal Clearance
Obtain Servsafe or Professional Food Safety Manager Certification (ACHD) within 6 months of hire date.
