Position Details
The Institute for Learning (IFL), housed at the University of Pittsburgh's Learning Research and Development Center, is looking for a qualified candidate to join a small team of online instructional design fellows. The instructional design fellow will be a part of the online instructional design team responsible for the development, writing, design, and facilitation of online training materials and courseware at the Institute for Learning (IFL). The individual must possess a deep knowledge of adult learning principles and theories and be able to implement these theories across a digital environment. The candidate will: Work with internal and external subject matter experts (content fellows) to create scripts, multimedia activities, training materials and for a range of subject matters; Design highly creative, quality, and innovative learning solutions for educators to implement high-quality, discussion-based learning experiences in their classrooms, schools, and districts; Research and design course documents to be relevant to targeted groups of educators with clear learning goals; Work with marketing and outreach team to develop materials to promote e-learning courses at the Institute for Learning; Ability to travel and present to educators onIFLonline learning tools and workshops as needed; Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Requirements: Master's degree or equivalent experience in education, curriculum and instruction, or other relevant field; 5-7 years experience in instructional design and/or curriculum development; Current on latest learning technologies in the industry including trends and tools in use; strong writing and layout skills to compose design documents for online environment; Candidate must be willing to travel if necessary. Preferred but not require: Experience with e-learning instructional design and software (captivate, camtasia, etc.) and familiarity with utilizing a learning management system. Salary is commensurate with experience. .

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
