UPMCEye Center, the Department of Ophthalmology of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, seeks a clinician scientist specializing in the area of glaucoma. We are looking for an individual who will be at the associate professor or professor level, tenured or tenure stream, and in receipt of peer-reviewed funding. If applicable, there is the potential for an endowed chair in glaucoma research. Additionally, the successful candidate will be stepping into an established and busy glaucoma service, staffed by four clinicians. This person will have a dual focus in clinical and research responsibilities, and duties will also include didactic and clinical training of residents and fellows. The Department employs a total of 55 faculty members, comprised of 35 clinicians and 20 basic scientists. Additionally, graduate medical education opportunities are offered to 6 residents and 8 fellows per year, including 2 fellows in glaucoma.
