Assistant or Associate Director of Planned Giving
The candidate will work with the Director of Individual Giving to grow a strong deferred giving program as an integral part of University s fundraising efforts. Will assist in developing solicitation strategies, tracking and stewardship of deferred gift prospects/donors and providing strategic direction to deferred gift planning for gift solicitations. Maintain an understanding of the technical aspects of planned giving vehicles and the relevant tax and estate consequences of these vehicles and serve as a resource for members of Advancement fundraising staff. Collaborate with the Director of Individual Giving to manage the production of planned giving advertisements, publications, web content, individual proposals, and other materials designed to promote gift planning. Assist with coordinating solicitation strategies, tracking and stewardship of individual deferred gift prospects/donors. Partner with appropriate staff in Advancement Services to assist with organizing, tracking, and stewarding prospects/donors. Maintain a personal portfolio of 100-150 individual prospects for cultivation and solicitation, with an emphasis on alumnae most likely to make planned gifts. Coordinate communications and activities for The Dilworth Society and other planned giving presentations. Collaborate with the Director of Individual Giving to define short and long-term strategies to reach the deferred giving goals established for University s comprehensive fundraising campaign. Assist fundraising colleagues in designing and soliciting planned gifts. Assist in staffing Advancement leadership, trustees and other volunteers for strategy sessions, meetings, visits, and planned giving solicitations. Train Advancement staff on types, purpose and use of planned giving vehicles; identify and train planned giving solicitation volunteers. Work cooperatively with the University Advancement staff and with staff in other divisions to fulfill University s mission.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
