4 Quick Apply Full-time 17 hours ago Full Job Description Role and Responsibilities A Service Technician Trainee performs all electrical tasks, operations, and maintenance required for the service department in a training capacity for various Arrow Electric jobs and projects; performs related work as required.
This includes:
Must be capable of working alone or with others, including completing paperwork, ordering material, layout, and execution of work.
Must have a diverse knowledge of power distribution, control wiring, and low voltage/communications wiring including:
distribution, transformers, FA, data cabling, security, industrial controls, PB stations, etc.
Must be willing to work Over Time and some weekends.
Follow all customer safety and confidentiality requirements.
Follow all customer facility's needs.
Willing to keep current on NEC changes.
Willing to advance oneself through education including in house education and classroom education (taught by others).
Dressing for the work environment and location.
Other additional related tasks and duties as needed Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum of 3rd Year Apprentice or higher; OSHA 10 Required Compensation- $16-$20/hr (depending on expierence) Work Environment This job operates in a field environment.
Electricians may be involved in construction or maintenance usually work a 40-hour, five-day week plus overtime when required.
Working conditions can change dramatically from one job to another, varying from indoors in clean conditions to outdoors on scaffolding, and to confined and restricted locations.
May require working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions; exposure to contaminants and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
Physical Demands This is largely an active role.
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; Requires repetitive movement; climbing ladders, scaffolds, or poles; standing, walking and running; using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; and bending or twisting.
Preferred Skills First Aid/CPR/AED, Arc Flash, Confined Spaces, Fork Lift, Medium/High Voltage, Project Management Excellent communication skills, Technical Management, Quality Focus, Ability to use basic Microsoft programs and email, Resource and Time Management, Knowledgeable in materials, methods and tools.
