Women's Shelter and Program Support Specialist
Light of Life Rescue Mission is seeking a full and part-time Women's Shelter and Program Support Specialist s.
These positions require the candidate to work during the weekend daylight shifts and also be comfortable with flexible evening, night, and daylight shifts during the regular work week.
Light of Life is looking for individuals who are able to understand and adhere to Light of Life's principles.
These individuals will work with people in varied circumstances related to homelessness, recovery, and mental illness.
We believe each person is created uniquely by God and therefore is endowed with value and dignity.

Jerrel Gilliam, Executive Director These responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the daily operations of our Women's Emergency Shelter, Meal Ministry, as well as other associated outreach functions Monitor the building and its residents Transporting clients Securing donations Data entry Due to the interface with the clients, all jobs at Light of Life require employees to:
Walk alongside clients as a disciple of Christ and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them through actions and words.
Establish mutual trust and create a safe, authentic environment so that the clients continue to mature in Christ.
Serve the clients in a Christ-like manner and practice a self-evaluative lifestyle.
Resolve all issues in ways that promote the principles of Light of Life while following the processes described in the LOL staff manual.
Exhibit love for Jesus Christ, the staff, and the clients.
Study the Christian Bible and apply the knowledge received/revealed to job duties and clients' specific issues.
Help the clients make choices that are justifiably in their eternal best interest.
Practice Christ Like stewardship of all resources.
Model personal responsibility, accountability, timely reporting and a self-evaluative lifestyle.
Skills and
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with diverse groups of clients and volunteers Must be able to handle crisis and unexpected situations with calm and clear thinking Must model personal responsibility, accountability, timely reporting, and a self-evaluative lifestyle PA Driver's License with clean driving record required Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED Knowledge of drug and alcohol recovery and mental illness preferred Light of Life offers a comprehensive benefits package including:

Light of Life also offers a 401k match program after 6 months of employment.
