Moody and Associates, Inc. (Moody) is seeking a project level engineer to be a member of our growing Civil Engineering practice, where we are working to create land development plans for our commercial, institutional, municipal and energy clients. This project level engineer will partner internally and externally on technically challenging and diverse client projects in support of our growing Engineering DivisionJob Purpose - What the position will do:
Supporting the Engineering Division on land development plans and permit applications. Designing site layouts, grading plans, Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, stormwater management plans and utility connections. Supporting field operations, providing oversight and conducting site field inspections when needed. Designing water and sewer treatment solutions for small to medium commercial/industrial properties. Interacting with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors. Competencies - What we are looking for:
A highly energetic, self-starter comfortable working in an environment that is deadline driven-more importantly is centered on providing quality engineering solutions in a collaborative environment. Demonstrate interpersonal, relationship-building, and good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and ACAD is essential. Ability to investigate and apply diverse engineering principles to determine optimal and practical solutions. Requirements:
Requirements Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or other related discipline. A minimum of 4 years of civil engineering experience. E.I.T Certification required, PE Certification in PA is preferred, but not required. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required. Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software. Experience in site design is required. Engineering experience in the water, wastewater, environmental, oil/gas or alternative energy services sectors is considered an asset but not required. Follows company and client mandated safety rules/practices and is safety conscious at all times. Follows company and client mandated Drug & Alcohol Policies, and is able to pass a drug and alcohol test Ability to travel to project locations as necessary. Ability to travel between the Moody offices located in Athens, Meadville and Washington, PA. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Employees must be able to occasionally perform physically demanding tasks working outdoors in adverse environmental conditions in all weather conditions (e.g., rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures, inclement weather, etc.). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time when performing office related tasks and/or while driving for business purposes and work site locations. Field related tasks may require hiking long distances while carrying equipment and supplies with frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
