Position Description
The Prospect Research and Data Specialist will provide moves management assistance, prospect identification, research, and targeted reporting, as well as timely data and trend analyses supporting the strategic planning and operational effectiveness of key fundraising programs.
In collaboration with the Prospect Moves Manager, he/she will recommend and employ a variety of reporting, data mining/modeling, and research techniques to identify, classify, and rate prospects capable of making gifts to the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation (MHSF). This will include leveraging available data sources to retrieve, query, and append data from internal and external sources, such as electronic screenings, surveys, demographic studies, marketing data, etc. The incumbent will proactively identify and utilize the most current resources and technology available to evaluate our donor pool and analyze and track trends. He/she will also conduct basic and in-depth research on prospects for major and special gifts toMHSF, primarily for the Clinical Development program.
Education Required Baccalaureate
Overall Related Experience Level Required 3-5 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of experience in prospect research, moves management, development, data analysis, market research, or equivalent combination of training and experience.

PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearances and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check andFBICriminal Record Check. These clearances and background checks will be required as a condition of employment.
