Maintenance Machinist
We are seeking a full time maintenance machinist. This position will have multiple responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
Manufacture of a wide variety of metal components through the operation of lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and similar equipment, gauging work carefully by using precision tools, fabricated mechanical devices, and units.
Making of jigs and fixtures. Repair and maintain machine shop equipment; gear boxes, air compressors, and pumps. Replace shafts, bearings, bushings, belts, shear-pins, pulleys, and gears.
Performance of other tasks as required in support of general machining and maintenance activity.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the successful candidate include:
Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the machinist's trade. Considerable knowledge of the maintenance and repair of machine shop tools and equipment.
Ability to work from plans, blueprints, sketches, models, and oral or written instructions, and to exercise judgment in determining techniques and methods.
Skill in the use and care of tools, machinery, and equipment of the machinist's trade.
Position is Full Time, Monday - Friday, 7-3:30 with overtime possible. Excellent pay commensurate with experience
benefits and bonus available.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
