Job Description:
The Compliance Manager, Financial Processes objective is to provide oversight and governance accountability for key global financial processes such as Segregation of Duties (SoD), where global oversight will provide process control and efficiency. Governance includes developing a centralized mechanism to measure and communicate progress, assess risks, and identify areas of improvement or required change. As part of the SoD duties, this role will ensure financial system responsibility accesses are monitored and only granted to those users requiring such accesses to reduce the overall number of SoD conflicts across systems and processes. Role will drive overall SoD and access controls and remediation excellence. In the capacity of the Compliance Manager, Financial Processes, the individual is a SoD access controls and remediation expert and partners with both Resource Unit and Business Unit stakeholders, risk, and role owners. The role will be responsible for maintaining and updating centralized governance frameworks (including risks, compensating controls, and business cases), monitoring compliance with requirements in the framework, and coordinating governance committee meetings with key stakeholders such as Controllership and Internal Audit. The role will also monitor central business processes, establish and maintain a record of operational procedures manuals, and develop and analyze monthly compliance reports. Primary Responsibilities Build a global Segregation of Duties controls and compliance oversight function for Arconic, which includes both BUs and RUs. Lead the rigorous execution of controls across global processes and provide oversight for controls on processes. Lead the response to risks and issues as they arise, identifying root causes and helping stakeholders build corrective action plans. Manage the process and timelines to mitigate and close all open SoD issues for Arconic, ensuring the requirements of internal and external audit validation are met. Lead periodic and ongoing assessments of risk and controls, identifying risks needing mitigation and developing action plans and controls to address. Lead process optimization and re-engineering efforts to evaluate current processes / practices and identify ways to improve productivity, effectiveness, and risk management. Lead and manage the approach and improvements using project management discipline and process improvement methodology (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma). Key Objectives Drive continuous access controls improvement and define and implement solutions that can be applied globally. Ensure critical responsibilities are only granted to the right users. Reduce the overall number of SoD conflicts across systems and processes. Partner with process leads and location leads on standardization of role design. Continuously enrich access controls knowledge through partnering with centralized and decentralized process owners, Controllership, and Internal Audit. Assess and analyze access controls deficiencies and SoD conflicts; propose and implement solutions where relevant. Liaise with centralized process owners, location process owners, Controllership, and Internal Audit to provide necessary guidance to risk owners and role owners to ensure effectiveness of access controls. Partnership and Training - Partner with centralized process owners, location process owners, Controllership, and Internal Audit to drive effectiveness of access controls, minimization of SoD conflicts and restriction of business-critical accesses. Partner with process owners on design of new access controls or changes to them, to identify appropriate role owners as and when required. Liaise closely with centralized and location process owners to exchange best practices, lessons learned and use synergies as well as sharing approaches in managing common risks and in resolving dependencies. Continuously share the latest access controls updates, best practices and access controls learnings with all process owners, train role owners and risk owners on access controls and drive continuous up-skilling of role and risk owners in access controls. Provide training and support to all other relevant audiences to strengthen internal control compliance over access risks. Participate and support projects from access controls perspective and ensure transparent, reliable, and agile stakeholder management. Essential Knowledge:
Access Controls Expertise - understands controls, process, and system expertise from SoD perspective, able to continuously enrich process knowledge through partnering with Business and Finance community. Understands Oracle EBS role design, transactions, risk & role ownership, and has a good understanding of business processes in the Oracle environment from access and process controls perspective. Understands the organization setup from both a business perspective and an Oracle perspective and able to support role owners/ risk owners in driving role standardization and organizational segregation. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial risk and compliance areas Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
