The Operations Supervisor plans, organizes, and monitors the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of all items, ensuring smooth and consistent day-to-day activity in our warehouse. This teammate will also ensure that merchandise is distributed in a timely and efficient manner following internal and external requirements. The Operations Supervisor will serve as a player/coach in the day-to-day operations of the business. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of technical systems & logistics related to inventory and the distribution process Manage all aspects of training and development of warehouse associates Develop and execute action plans for improvements to meet company goals and objectives Perform inventory management, cycle counts, and physical audits maintaining accuracy standards Design initiatives and develop strategies to increase the effectiveness of logistics functions Guide team members in daily operations to ensure a high degree of safety, service and quality Evaluate current work methods and determine ways to eliminate inefficiencies Plan and coordinate work, monitor and evaluate the performance of warehouse associates and supervisors Monitor and measure the accuracy of location, movement, and storage of material Serve as a player/coach in the order fulfillment process. Pick, pack and ship orders as needed Partner with the Accounting Coordinator to ensure all financial aspects of the warehouse are in order (inventory adjustments, invoice review and approval, etc.) Assist in the development and oversight of the warehouse/logistics budget Own transportation/logistics vendor relationships Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field 3 - 5 years experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a supervisory role Minimum of five years supervisory experience PC proficiency in MS Office Excellent interpersonal skills Strong planning, decision-making, and negotiating skills
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
