Position Description:
The mobile developer is responsible for design and development of mobile applications for the Android operating system. The mobile developer must also have a strong understanding of the patterns and practices relating to various mobile platforms and Web applications. Responsibilities:
o Work directly with end users to capture and clarify requirements. o Provide input and in some cases lead UI design for mobile applications. o Design, build, and test native or hybrid mobile applications for Android. o Design, build, and test embedded databases and other system data-stores. o Effectively utilize code versioning tools such as Gitlab. o Implement continuous integration in code builds. o Provide off-shift production support as needed. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE o Hands-on working experience in Android Development. o Hands-on working experience in Web app (Java) development. o Hands-on working experience REST APIs. o Experience integrating mobile application with back-end applications. o Demonstrate an understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. o Have published one or more Android apps in the app stores. o Understanding UX/UI techniques and standards for Android devices. o Broad knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED o Experience working within an Agile Scrum team setting and tools such as Rally, VersionOne or Jira. o Good communication skills to work with client team to understand key requirements
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
