POPSUGAR is looking for an innovative and strategic Executive Editor to lead our Wellness, Lifestyle, Feature and Shop (editorial) teams. Our ideal candidate has proven experience leading content and strategy direction for large editorial teams, and is well-versed in the wellness and lifestyle spaces. WHAT YOU'LL DO Help guide and establish content strategy (a mix of creative and SEO) and vision for Wellness, Lifestyle, Shop (editorial) and Features, alongside respective directors, in order to guide teams in executing that strategy, using data and editorial expertise to take content to the next level Direct and inspire Wellness, Lifestyle, Shop (editorial) and Feature teams (alongside their directors) to create new, innovative content daily, with the goal of growing audiences and creating impact Think big picture on how to level-up and expand these w/ thumb-stopping social content, entertaining video content and visionary packages and series Ensure all Wellness, Lifestyle, Shop (editorial) and Features content is in line with the PS brand mission and audience goals Monitor content performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and craft long-term and short-term strategies in order to hit KPIs Work with POPSUGAR and Vox Media leadership to carry out our mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion across all site content Partner with SEO team to craft a sustainable and successful SEO strategy for Wellness, Lifestyle, Shop (editorial) and Features Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development for direct reports Work closely with video and social media teams to optimize Wellness, Lifestyle, Shop (editorial) and Features content for various platforms and work with directors and deputies to craft social-first content ideas Partner with EIC and other content leads to set and execute strategy for special events such as award season, Olympics, and more Conceptualize, pitch, and execute special features, packages, and brand extensions Work with EIC and publisher to fulfill content needs and establish processes to support brand extensions, events such as Play/Ground, and new ventures such as podcasts Provide support on long-range planning, special projects, post-sales deliverables, and other off site needs Represent POPSUGAR for press opportunities, panels, and sponsored projects WHO YOU ARE Our ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, creative, flexible and fearless. POPSUGAR is entering an exciting, new phase under new editorial leadership and a new parent company, Vox Media. The EIC is looking for a strategic partner to help implement new processes and assist in rapid growth, hiring and change. This person can easily identify a classic POPSUGAR angle but also ideate swiftly around new ways to present a tried and tested story. They're a search engine optimization pro, who marries compelling storytelling with SEO perfectly in order to answer what audiences are searching for in an informative and entertaining manner. They have strong management experience and are not afraid to lead large and diverse teams with grace and grit. The Executive Editor, Lifestyle will lead our continued expansion as a dominant leader in the Wellness and Lifestyle spaces and collaborate closely with design, social, sales, video, and other teams to experiment with new types of storytelling that align with our overall mission and goals. If you're skilled at shaping editorial strategy, telling diverse stories, managing teams, writing shareable headlines, and spend your free time immersed in pop culture, we want to hear from you! This position will report to the Editor in Chief and work alongside the Executive Editor, Entertainment and Style. 8
years of experience in digital media, print, writing/editing, and journalism Experience with setting content strategy, SEO and managing/mentoring a team Ability to stay ahead of trends and adapt to a constantly changing digital landscape Strong writing and communication skills Ability to write and edit clean, witty, accurate copy on tight deadlines Strong familiarity with social media Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, collaborative team environment Must be willing and able to work evening and weekend hours as needed If you think you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job posting, please apply with a cover letter to let us know how you believe you can bring your unique skills to the Vox Media team or get in touch! WHERE YOU'LL WORK This job is hybrid. This position can be based out of our NY or LA offices. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

Editorial & Content ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
