Quick Apply Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description Full Time - 2nd Shift POSITION SUMMARY The Fulfillment Technician II participates in the pharmacy department that is directed and staffed by qualified pharmacists.
This position facilitates daily preparation of oral, liquid and solid medication in medi-dose cups, bingo cards, SimplePack packaging, or in unit-dose packaging.
In addition, performs designated tasks regarding pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control and processing of supply and equipment orders.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS The Fulfillment Technician II reports directly to the Operations Manager.
This position works with shared services team, which includes customer service associates, order entry technicians, and staff pharmacists.
This position works with the Operations Manager, Production Coordinators, Pharmacists, Inventory, and Fulfillment Technicians.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Organizes daily workflow to meet delivery deadlines Assigns pharmacy technicians to appropriate filling locations Answers phone calls from customers regarding production questions Works closely with supervisors to help facilitate training of new team members Medication Order fulfillment (i.
e.
, various packaging, dispensing machine, labeling, shipping, etc.
).
Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing.
Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include staging the medication for Pharmacist final review and/or packaging of medication after Pharmacist final review.
Coordinating and staging items for delivery for an accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
Receives and stores incoming supplies, verifies quantities against invoices, checks for outdated medications in current inventory and informs supervisor of stock needs and shortages.
Mix pharmaceutical preparations, according to written prescriptions.
Assists with special projects as needed.
Supports location, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.
Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Knowledge of the fluid dose equipment (Pittsburgh location only).
Printing of packaging slips.
Knowledge of C II policy and dispensing procedures.
Knowledge of non-sterile compound medication procedures.
Proficient with all requirements in Level 1 and 2 and the ability to fulfill a lead role if necessary.
Receiving and verifying vendor order.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmacy is preferred.
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
Successful completion of a pharmacy training program is preferred.
Specialization in the preparation of IV admixtures preferred.
Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic technique.
Must possess computer knowledge skills.
Must have good organizational skills and is able to work independently.
Interpersonal skills required in dealing effectively and courteously with all customers.
