6K a year Summary While performing duties related to St.
Clair Health, this position functions as a resource for other maintenance personnel and guides the work of individuals assigned to assist.
May specialize in the performance of a particular trade, but may be required to assist in other capacities due to variations in workload and staffing.
According to accepted practice and standards, performs duties associated with one or more of the skilled trades including carpentry, plumbing, electricity, mechanics, and plastering.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
Completion of one of the following:
High school graduate or equivalent and three years of experience in a skilled trade.
Advanced degree (e.
g.
, trade school diploma, associate's degree) in building maintenance or related field and two years of experience in a skilled trade.
A basic understanding of mechanical and electrical processes; and equipment repair/building trades.
2.
The ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications; and the ability to read and understand equipment manuals.
3.
Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools and knowledge of trade standards.
4.
Knowledge of personal computer operation.
Preferred Qualifications 1.
Previous experience working in a healthcare facility.
