State and Local Payroll Analyst

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Payroll Analyst.
The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing payroll, participating and leading various payroll related projects/process improvement initiatives and creating, generating and analyzing complex reports.
The candidate will be responsible for assessing payroll processing issues through research, troubleshooting and analysis, and following payroll SOP's.
These enhanced reports will be used to improve efficiencies and audit processes to ensure accuracy.
This role is responsible for data accuracy, problem solving, reporting, auditing, and maintaining documentation on improvements.
The candidate will prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly payroll statements, while staying on top of state and local rules/regs as they change accordingly.
Minimum Requirements o Bachelor's Degree (Accounting or Finance preferred but open) o Strong Excel skills (V-lookup & pivot tables) ability to extract data there will be an online assessment to take o 3 years of experience processing payroll experience processing large payroll (students, faculty, unions, etc.
-22,000 employees) Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements o Eagerness to learn or experience working on multi-state payroll Ability to stay on top of state and local rules and regulations as they change o high attention to detail Self-Starter Desired Skills Oracle Cloud Experience o Experience doing payroll for large universities Knowledge of union payroll Recommended Skills Accounting Attention To Detail Curiosity Finance Microsoft Excel Online Assessments Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
