Human Resources Generalist

Our client is a non-profit organization in Downtown Pittsburgh.
They are currently looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$50k - $56k (Depending on experience) Position Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day human resource functions.
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist:
Ensures payroll is processed in accordance with legal requirements and procedures and policies.
Resolves discrepancies with payroll.
Completes and files quarterly payroll tax returns.
Collaborates with the Finance team to ensure accurate general ledger postings and reconcile payroll accounts.
Communicates all employee changes in benefit plan enrollment to the plan providers.
Administers benefit programs.
Maintains personnel and benefit files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Prepares paperwork, schedules and facilitates smooth new-hire onboarding processes, and coordinates with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
Manages the time-tracking system.
Works closely with the VP, HR, and chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer on special projects.
Qualifications for the Human Resources Generalist:
3 - 5 years of payroll and benefits experience.
Thorough knowledge of payroll and benefits-related laws and regulations.
Ability to learn new systems quickly.
Proactive, self-motivated, self-starter and reliable.
High sense of integrity, confidentiality, honesty and ethics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity, equity and inclusion.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Requires excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
