UX/UI Designer

Our client, a large telecommunications company in Philadelphia, is looking for a mid-level UX/UI Designer for a permalancer position.
This role will be focusing on various digital products across the company while working within a newly formed UX team.
This is a hybrid position and requires 2-days/week onsite in Philadelphia.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to conceptualize, design, and iterate on user-centered digital products and features.
Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions, ensuring that user needs and pain points are addressed effectively.
Create intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces that not only look amazing but also provide an effortless and enjoyable user experience.
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design ideas and iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing.
Champion and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across various platforms and products.
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and actively contribute to the team's continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure the implementation of designs meets design specifications and maintains a high level of fidelity.
Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in design, ensuring that products are usable by a diverse range of users.
Act as a mentor to junior designers and contribute to the growth and development of the design team.
Required
Qualifications:
5
years of experience in UX/UI design A robust portfolio showcasing your proficiency in designing for various platforms and demonstrating a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
Solid knowledge of user research methodologies and experience conducting usability testing.
Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles, and the ability to create designs that work seamlessly across different devices.
Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale clearly to stakeholders.
A passion for staying ahead of design trends, continuously seeking inspiration from various sources.
Experience working in an agile development environment, managing multiple projects, and meeting tight deadlines.
