Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Director, Experience and Design, the Research and Insights Manager is responsible for conducting insight workstreams that inform the direction of our brand, communications, products and services through research execution and data analysis.
Here is how the Research and Insights Manager will help:
Design, conduct, and manage primary market research studies to generate findings and insights that provide foundational information, topical assessments, meet stakeholder needs, and inform business decisions.
Identify stakeholder needs, clarify the business objective, and define the research objective through collaboration with stakeholder teams, to develop learning plans and research designs that yield meaningful and actionable insights, within timing and budget requirements.
Conduct and manage all steps of the quantitative research including, vendor vetting and management, sampling plan design and execution, strategic survey design, survey programming, field management, data processing and quality checks, weighting, data analysis, data visualization, insights-based report development and socialization workshops.
Conduct and manage qualitative research studies across methods and techniques, both in person and online.
Negotiate contracts that outline project scope, timelines, and deliverables Oversee vendor relationships and set them up for success for any onsite research Manage and track vendor performance to ensure timely, cost-effective results Facilitate check-ins between project sponsors and vendors Keeping up to date with industry trends, emerging research methodologies, and best practices in research.
Staying informed about advancements in technology and tools to support evaluating vendors and driving innovation in research initiatives.
Performs other related tasks as assigned or required.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as market research, business, psychology, or a related field.
5 Years of experience in research management, vendor management, or a related role.
This may include experience in managing research projects, working with vendors, or conducting research activities.
Proficiency in project management principles and methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously, including defining project scope, setting timelines, managing resources, and ensuring project deliverables are met.
Considerable experience interpreting research findings, from a variety of sources, identifying insights and connecting them to broader strategic needs Proficient in Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Proficiency with common research platforms for designing, fielding, collecting and analyzing data Exceptional written and verbal communications skills We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:
Considerable knowledge of with various research methodologies such as qualitative and quantitative research, ethnographic research, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
Considerable knowledge of vendor management principles and practices.
This includes the ability to identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on their expertise, track record, and ability to deliver high-quality research.
Understanding contract negotiation, budget management, and vendor performance evaluation is crucial.
Considerable knowledge of research ethics and compliance requirements, including data protection, privacy regulations, and ethical guidelines for research.
Ensuring that vendors adhere to these standards and addressing any compliance issues is essential.
Proficiency in project management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and monitor research projects conducted by vendors.
This includes managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and mitigating any risks or issues that arise.
Considerable ability to understand and interpret research findings, data analysis reports, and insights generated by vendors.
Ability to complete a variety of incoming, sometimes ad-hoc, research requests that help inform strategic planning by distilling information down into a digestible format and sharing insights with Departmental Leadership.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and team members.
Communication and interpersonal skills with ability to convey research requirements, provide clear instructions, and foster collaboration among vendors, internal stakeholders, and team members.
Considerable ability to assist in the design, planning and execution of research projects by developing screeners and questionnaires, organizing data collection, moderating, analyzing and interpreting data, developing reports and preparing strategic recommendations.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
