Assumes responsibility for generating new business.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develops new ABL business relationships and services current ABL business loan and deposit relationships by prospecting new customers, profiling to identify current and future needs and maintaining a professional and attentive relationship while cross selling ABL business loans and other affiliate products and services.
Sells business products and services that meet identified needs according to the Bank's pricing and fee schedule.
Refers the customer to specialists as identified.
Maintains a prospective customer calling program by using referrals and other methods to identify potential customers.
Makes cold calls to promote the Bank's products and services.
Resolves customer problems as measured by the awareness of and ability to resolve problems in order to enhance existing business relationships and contribute to the Bank's profit and growth objectives.
Refers problems that the incumbent is not capable or empowered to resolve to the appropriate resource.
Follows up to ensure that the situation is satisfactorily resolved.
Promotes the Bank's professional image through involvement within the community where potential customers may be found centering efforts around promoting products and services to meet customer needs within the boundaries of the current budget, product and service mix and time as measured by the amount of new business acquired in order to develop new business relationships.
Maintains and continually develops networking referral sources.
Regularly contacts sources, attends, recognizes and entertains referrals sources according to the Bank's policies and procedures to obtain referrals and develop new business relationships.
Submits reports including business development activity such as calling activity, sales such as deposits and loans and referrals in the prescribed method and in an efficient and timely manner.
Serves as a hunter, coach and teammate working with Branch Manager and Market Manager in improving small business skills set in both loan and deposit.
Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Physical DemandsOperates a keypad device:
25% of the week.
Operates electronic equipment:
20% of the week; operates office equipment:

Travels:
50% of the week.
The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, lower and upper torso and feet.
Standing is required.
Sitting is required.
Walking is required.
Physical demands include travel by car to see customers, inspect construction sites, land developments, etc.
Lenders also travel out of state to inspect projects, construction sites and meet customers.
Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 25% of the business day.
Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18-20 for computer work.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
