Engineering Manager

Seeking a dynamic, organized, project focused Engineering Manager to help us to reach our bold growth goals assisting fleets in reducing their carbon emissions and achieving environmental sustainability goals.
This role will be one of the company's primary experts on the Company's fuel system technology.
This requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software systems as well as a high proficiency in leading cross functional engineering teams to deliver customer projects on time.
This position requires dedication to representing our company with dignity and distinction in a leadership environment.
This is a full-time salaried position to be based in Pittsburgh, PA with travel requirements (10-20% of a work year).
This position will lead various customer and application projects to help create processes and execute strategies to ensure projects are developed in a timely manner.
The main responsibilities of this role include researching and developing new products, building project budgets, and overseeing the successful execution of projects throughout the year.

Responsibilities:
o Function as project manager for application engineering projects o Manage cross functional teams with several projects in process at one time o Ensure project alignment with Director of Engineering o Manage the application engineering and product development teams, manage the tasks of the different members of the engineering team including all disciplines.
o Develop Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) based on application engineering design criteria o Drive product standardization and best practices o Based on the organization's objective, set up department goals and coach staff to set up short-term practice plans, review and consolidate the submitted plans in order to ensure the department goal meets the company's targets.
o Deliver Key Performance Indicator(KPI) inputs to Director of Engineering on a monthly basis o Drive hiring decisions based on team resource analysis and leadership inputs o Develop and manage document process and control o Create internal and external documentation used for testing, installation and training purposes o Support sales initiatives by providing technical consultations o Procure software systems to aid in engineering efficiency and success o Ensure safety protocols are set in place for all work areas.
Qualifications &
Experience:
o BS/MS in engineering field o 5 years engineering experience in automotive sector o 2
years in engineering management role o Deep knowledge of automotive products, manufacturing, and engineering o High level of analytical ability and strategic competence o Must have excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills o Self-Starter who can work independently and within a larger team.
Other Job Requirements:
o Limited physical activity such as bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting tools, parts, and materials (up to 70lbs).
o Work occurring in a variety of environments, including but not limited to:
office, outdoor, warehouse and shop conditions.
o Strong attention to detail o Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; CDL a plus o Significant domestic travel is required (up to 20%) o Flexible hours of operation.
