We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior with a focus on Real Estate to join our fast-paced finance teamThis role offers a unique opportunity to blend your expertise in both tax and real estate, providing comprehensive financial solutions to our clientsThe ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of real estate tax laws, 1031 exchanges, partnership waterfall calculations, and will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)This position offers room for growth and advancement, and is perfect for someone who is ready to take their career to the next level.
Responsibilities:
1Prepare and review complex tax returns for real estate clients, including corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
2Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations related to real estate transactions, ensuring compliance and optimization of tax benefits.
3Provide guidance on 1031 exchanges, helping clients to defer capital gains taxes through strategic property exchanges.
4Conduct partnership waterfall calculations to determine cash distributions among partners.
5Collaborate with the financial planning team to integrate tax planning strategies into the overall financial plan for clients.
6Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and expert financial advice.
7Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and changes in tax law, ensuring our company and clients are always ahead of the curve.
8Assist in internal audits and tax disputes, providing expert knowledge and support.
9Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Qualifications:
1Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
2Minimum of two years of experience in a tax senior role, with a focus on real estate.
3Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to real estate.
4Proven experience with 1031 exchanges and partnership waterfall calculations.
5Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
7Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
9Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
