Adjunct Faculty - Legal Issues of Media and Digital CommunicationsAdjunct Faculty - Legal Issues of Media and Digital CommunicationsThe Communication, Media and Technology Department of La Roche University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adjunct Professor - Legal Issues of Media and Digital Communications for the Spring 2025 semester.
This position will examine the laws and rules affecting various types of mass communication industries in the United States, i.
e.
, broadcasting, cable communication, the Internet, advertising and journalism.
The roles of the public, political leaders, research groups, the Federal Communication Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, the First Amendment and the Supreme Court will be examined.
This undergraduate course meets twice a week in-person on La Roche University's campus in the North Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA.

Excellent communication, technological, and organizational skills needed.
Ability to teach, interact, and evaluate students who come from diverse backgrounds and levels of ability.
Evaluate student progress and provide appropriate feedback.
Follow established teaching procedures and protocols within the Academic Affairs Division.
Education/Qualifications Relevant legal degree or Master's degree or higher in Communication, Media Studies, or related field.
Prior college/university level teaching experience preferred.

These are considered adjunct (part-time) faculty positions.
Adjunct faculty are hired for specific teaching assignments and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts.
