Summary:
The Claims Coordinator will provide support to the Claims Director during the investigation, documentation, reporting, management, and resolution of all claims.
This role will gather data on claims and work closely with the Claims Director and Safety Team to identify causes of loss, identify trends, and assist with communicating issues and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Assist with gathering pertinent information from involved parties while creating digital claims file.
Review, download, and digitally store applicable accident footage.
Ensure timely updates in multiple reporting platforms are completed for record keeping.
Communicate with applicable third parties including but not limited to:
the police, motoring public, insurance carriers as directed by the Claims Director.
Communicate with customers and internal departments to facilitate corrective action and streamline open lines of communication.
Ensure that proper supporting documentation is available and initiate payments as directed.
Assist with initiation of claims payments, supplements, and tracking of claims financials.
Track claim status, including initiating follow up communications until resolved and/or internally closed.
Maintain detailed recordkeeping of all claims and ensure internal tracking is current.
Provide requested updates and summaries to Claims Director.
Help facilitation of loss reports and visual representation for Loss Meetings.
Assist with coverage of afterhours phone line.
Provide back-up coverage as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communications Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Organized and efficient, must be able to follow directions and multi-task.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technology-minded, ability to understand digital file structure, organization, and maintenance.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to quickly adapt and learn new software.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
