Position Description
This Web Application Developer will be a member of a technical team building and evaluating software tools in support of biomedical research.
Candidates for this position will ideally bring a combination of technical expertise; curiosity and willingness to learn about new domains; and a willingness to work flexibly with inter-disciplinary teams.
Technical expertise should be based in educational background (at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or related fields), professional experience (at least 3-5 years software development) and demonstrable interest and success in learning new technologies and applications. Tools that might be used include relational databases, NoSQL (such as HBase), semantic triple stores, Java EE,MVCweb frameworks, unit and integration testing frameworks, and web-based front-ends using Javascript,HTML,CSS, and widely-used libraries such as jQuery and D3. Experience in any or all of these areas is helpful; willingness to jump in and learn unfamiliar tools is essential.
Experience with best practices in modern software development, including agile development practices, source-code control systems, testing and test-driven development, code reuse andAPIdesign, and documentation is highly-desirable.
As a member of a team conducting novel biomedical research, a successful applicant will need to look beyond the code, building a deep understanding of the problem domain and resulting implications for software design. Detailed work with end users and other stakeholders will be required, often with the implicit requirement of learning the details of a new and unfamiliar field. Success in this position will require working closely with customers when necessary to articulate plans, problems, and solutions clearly to team members, and then being willing to react quickly and appropriately when plans go awry.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or other related area.
Two to four years of experience programming software for projects not related to school coursework. Participates in complex analysis, evaluation, and design of systems.
Maintains and contributes to programming standards. Implements and maintains major modules of complex systems.
Technical
Qualifications: Java, python,PHP, Javascript, and/orSQLprogramming, creating complex applications. Responsibility for design at the level of a module. Knowledge of web services architectures. Experience on both Windows and Linux preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
