Position
Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of User Experience the Sr. UX Architect will lead the research, design and evaluation of engaging user experiences in a dynamic working environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Responsible for consulting with internal/external clients about their business goals, and proposing user experience solutions and strategies that meet both end user and business needs.
Collaborate with the business analyst, design and development teams to ensure the proper translation of the overall strategy/vision is developed and deployed.
Educate internal teams throughout the business on best practices/standards, with the ability to effectively drive the integration of recommendations.
Plan, manage and analyze a broad range of UX activities including:
User and design research
Usability testing
Card sorting
Taxonomy, information architecture and navigation
Interaction design (wireframes and prototypes of all fidelities from paper to clickable)
Minimum Requirements/
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), cognitive science, interaction design, new media design or related design field
5
years experience working as an information architect, interaction designer or user experience professional. Desirable: 7 or more years of experience
5
years experience working on Web sites, eCommerce, search, navigation, and/or mobile interfaces
5
years experience with usability testing including preparation, execution and analysis
Significant experience conducting other UX activities such as: interviews and observations, competitive analysis/assessment, expert/heuristic reviews and surveys
Exceptional understanding of UX best practices, and how they apply to varied projects
Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal, graphic and written)
Experience developing UX deliverables such as: user profiles/personas, wireframes, and mental models
Proficiency with UX and business tools such as Axure, Photoshop, InDesign, and the MS Office suite
Business and interpersonal skills
Ability to work on multiple projects, reprioritize as needed, and consistently deliver on time and on budget
Ability to understand scope, requirements and to drive innovative solutions within give parameters
Create solid recommendations and prioritize based on user and business needs
Understand the importance of flexibility, and the balance of speed and quality
Possess strong business and technical acumen; be able to quickly learn new businesses and understand technologies
Demonstrate willingness to mentor and contribute to team activities
Ability to work within a cross-functional team of content specialists, business analysts, digital designers, and strategists to developed highly optimized user experiences
Anticipate potential project problems and create solutions or contingency plans
Actively seek out feedback from manager and peers; improve own performance based on that feedback
Preferred Additional Skills
Experience defining UX standards inside organizations
Experience with accessibility, localization and eCommerce
Experience designing and usability testing mobile sites and apps
Prior experience designing for (and across) varied integrated business systems for both internal and external audiences across digital channels including (but not limited to): Web sites, microsites, intranets, mobile websites, mobile applications, email, online advertising, content management systems, eCommerce systems
Video and sound editing
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and programming
Additional Information
Some travel is required
Portfolio work is welcomed (comps, wireframes, process flows, etc.)
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in a related field)

This position has been approved for Relocation Assistance.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
