Description:
Manage the station's night side assignment desk. Manage reporter/photographer teams including handling and providing informational support to crews in the field. Work closely with news and promtions producers and managers to develop and execute stories. Field phone calls to the desk, interacting professionally with all callers. Use all available resources to search for information and research stories including but not limited to phone, internet, databases and social media.
Qualifications:
Required: Previous experience on a TV news assignment desk preferred. Team player who can execute news manager's goals for a particular newscast. Sound news judgement, ability to problem solve. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and act with appropriate urgency. Demonstrated research skills. College degree required. Must be availabel to work all shifts.
