Housekeeping Aid Supervisor

Primary functions include a wide range of activities within Environmental Management Service. The incumbent ensures the cleanliness, sanitation and appearance in all areas. Incumbent ensures the accomplishment of activities, by directly supervising EMS Pest Controller, Housekeeping Aide Supervisors, Housekeeping Aide Work Leaders and CWT/IT training program. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting with oversight of the Patient Affects Program, Employee Uniform Program and CWT Programs. Plans, coordinates, and supervises hospital housekeeping functions such as environmental sanitation, laundry/linen operations, interior/exterior pest control, patient assistance program, waste management, and bed services program. Conducts systematic monitoring and surveillance of all aspect of contracted laundry services. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist with monitoring various EMS contracts, performing duties as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR). Determines long-range, intermediate, and short-range program goals and policies. Develops and implements organizational structures and operating plans and procedures to achieve program goals, monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of operations within the established framework. Communicates agency and local hospital policies and priorities throughout the hospital housekeeping department. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Develops performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates. Gives advice, counsel, or instructions to employees on both work and administrative matters. Interviews candidates for positions in the unit and recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignments to such positions. Monitors and analyzes both production efficiency and organizational structure in order to implement and or recommend process and organizational changes. Assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations. Work Schedule:

Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The work is primarily sedentary, although some physical effort may be required, e.g. walking, standing, carrying light items such as manuals or briefcases, or driving or traveling by motor vehicles. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, training rooms, and libraries. The work also involves spending time in storage areas, patient care areas and waste storage and handling areas.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
