Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes conducting data analysis to prepare recommendations for new and ongoing initiatives, maintenance priorities, policy changes, and process improvements; gathering data for review of findings to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usable reports; analyzing financial documents, preparing cost estimates, and tracking funding associated with a program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). B. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have:

One year of specialized experience which includes leading diverse assessment teams at various Navigational locks & dams, Flood Risk Management, and Recreation and Environmental project sites to ensure consistency and accuracy of processes; analyzing financial documents, preparing cost estimates, and tracking funding associated with a program; conducting a variety of complex data analysis to prepare recommendations for new and ongoing initiatives, maintenance priorities, policy changes, and process improvements; coordinating data analysis findings to ensure consistent, accurate data and usable reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). B.
