Vehicle Description From the winningest name in racing, here's a rare 2009 Ford Mustang Roush 429R Coupe with just 20678 actual miles which we are proud to offer for sale from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom.
2009 was the only year for the 429R and only 100 were produced.
And just 21 of these were Torch Red Coupes.
This example (#70 in the series) has had two careful owners, and the comes with original owner's package including the helpful and informative Roush 429R Mustang Owner's Guide Supplement.
All the Roush goodness is here starting with the Chrome Powder Coated Roushcharged Powertrain System with a very driveable 435 horsepower and a usable 400 lb/ft of torque.
The engine builder proudly stands behind his work with his signature appearing on an underhood plaque.
There are some upgrades including BBK long tube ceramic coated headers with high-flow cats, a larger Ford Racing throttle body, Steeda heat exchanger, and a Roush Performance Pulley kit.
The car is docile and tractable in everyday driving, but go ahead and downshift the 5-speed manual transmission, give it some gas and hear the delightful blower whine that accompanies the impressive forward thrust.
To reel it back in, the optional Big Brake Kit consists of 14-inch two-piece slotted front rotors, factory size slotted rear rotors, four-piston red front calipers, and red painted factory rear calipers.
There are Roush 18-inch chrome wheels and 275/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires all around.
The Roush Mustang is a ball to drive, and that's what it's all about.
This example looks the part with its Torch Red paint and white stripes, the Roush 4-piece Aerobody Front Facia, front chin spoiler, hood scoop, and rear wing, plus the optional quarter window louvers.
It's comfortable too, featuring Roush red and black Sport Leather Seating, all the power accessories, and a 500 watt Shaker AM/FM sound system with a 6-disc CD changer.
Distinctive Roush identification and graphics authenticate the car throughout, and that's a good thing.
The car is personally autographed by Jack Roush, (photo of Jack signing the dash included), Jack Roush Jr.
, and Susan Roush McCleneghan, an accomplished racer in her own right.
In the drag racing world, he was probably best known for the infamous championship winning Tijuana Taxi Pro Stock four-door Maverick.
Today of course, he's a leading NASCAR team owner and Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee.
Jack Roush has been intimately tied with Ford as an engineer and racer for decades.
Having his concepts, ideas, plus his signature on this 2009 Ford Mustang Roush 429R makes it one to have.
