For Sale: 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for sale in Pittsburgh, PA
Vehicle Description MaxMotive is pleased to offer a true classic, a handsome 1957 Ford Thunderbird.
This one is in its iconic original color, Colonial White, with a poppy red interior.
It comes with the hardtop as well as the soft top.
Smooth power delivery from the 292 Y-block V8 engine and the standard 3-speed manual transmission makes this 'Bird a truly enjoyable experience.
It's ready to cruise as new brakes and brake lines, a rebuilt steering box, and new Coker whitewall tires were added in 2021.
Popular Mechanic's 1957 Car Facts Book reported that in 1956 the T-Bird outsold its primary domestic competitor, the Corvette, by more than 10 to 1.
Even so, there were some big changes for '57 that brought even more sales success, among them a much larger trunk, which had a side benefit of giving the car 50-50 weight distribution.
That this car was well loved is evidenced by the trunk's contents, which not only includes a spare tire and jack, but also touch up paint, a fender cover, a battery charger, a box filled with cassettes, and the 1957 Ford Thunderbird Handbook.
And even the tach and clock are fully functional.
This well preserved 1957 Ford Thunderbird is an important part of automotive history and is ready for many more years of enjoyment.
